With American Rich Brunn:
Ancient Rome: Forum, Palatine Hill and Colosseum
From the foundations of the ancient Roman Monarchy and some of the most significant elements of the Republic and Empire, we'll recreate the grandeur and magnificence of the Colosseum, Palatine hill and ancient Roman Forums, while appreciating their importance right up to our modern day.
From the Imperial Palace on the Palatine Hill over to the Circus Maximus, the area of the famous Romulean Huts and House of Augustus, down to the Roman Forum, the sprawling downtown, social, political, religious and economic center of ancient Rome.
Other highlights will be the Senate House, Basilica of Maxentius, House of the Vestal Virgins and any number of ancient state sponsored Pagan temple's and triumphal arches such as those of Titus and the Arch of Constantine (to view an article Rich wrote on it).
It's super nice to get right into places without any sort of wait, as we recreate the past and motives that drove the creation of these most amazing sites while seeing how so much of our modern day life derives from this ancient world.
